The Town of Hackettstown announced on April 7 that residents will be able to bring grass clippings to the Town Garage at 309 East Plane Street from April 11 through October 3, 2026.

This service is available only to Hackettstown residents and aims to provide a convenient way for them to dispose of grass clippings during the growing season.

Collection hours are scheduled for Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Permits are required for each deposit, with each permit allowing one 30-gallon container of grass clippings. The cost is $0.50 per permit or $5.00 for ten permits, which can be purchased at the Town Garage during collection hours.

Residents seeking more information are encouraged to call the Department of Public Works at (908) 852-2320.
