Hackettstown issues snow emergency with parking restrictions effective December 23

A snow emergency will be in effect in the Town of Hackettstown starting at 1:00 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. During this period, parking will not be allowed on any streets in the town, except for municipal lots. Vehicles left parked on town streets after the start of the emergency will be ticketed and towed.

Residents who have vehicles parked on public streets are required to remove them by 1:00 AM Tuesday. All vehicles must remain off the streets until officials announce that the snow emergency has ended.

According to the announcement, “Once the snow emergency is lifted, an alert will be sent out via the CivicReady Mass Notification System. To sign up, text ‘07840’ to ‘38276’ or visit: https://portal.civicplus.com/NJ-Hackettstown/notifications.”

Additional updates will be posted on social media pages operated by both the Hackettstown Police Department and the Town.

“Thank you for your cooperation!” stated town officials.
