At 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, Anthony Bubba, a former Pope John Xxiii High School star, pitched three innings as the Hartford Hawks secured a 12-1 win over the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in NCAA Division I baseball.

The contest was held at Fiondella Field, marking the teams’ initial meeting of the season.

Bubba, the Hawks’ right-hander, allowed one walk and registered two strikeouts.

Hartford is set to face Mount Saint Vincent again at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Fiondella Field.
