Mike Inganamort, Assemblyman for New Jersey’s 24th District, posted a series of updates on January 14, 2026, highlighting the start of his second term and legislative activities. He also reported on discussions with local officials regarding telecommunications issues.
In his first post of the day, Inganamort expressed gratitude upon beginning his new term: “THANK YOU! Today I took my oath for a second term as your Assemblyman, alongside my friend and fellow warrior for New Jersey’s 24th District, Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia. We are honored and duty-bound to keep fighting for Northwest New Jersey.” (January 14, 2026)
Later that night, he shared information about an upcoming commemorative session of the state legislature: ” ‘The New Jersey legislature met for the first time on August 27th 1776 at Nassau Hall on the campus of what is now Princeton University. To commemorate that first session, this February this Assembly will return to Nassau Hall for a special session.'” (January 14, 2026)
In another update that afternoon, Inganamort discussed local infrastructure challenges after meeting with Allamuchy Mayor Rosemary Tuohy: “This afternoon I met with Allamuchy Mayor Rosemary Tuohy to discuss several issues facing the township, including persistent problems with Verizon cell service. At the time, we didn’t realize a major East Coast outage was underway. Being unable to reach my family certainly” (January 14, 2026). Telecommunications outages have periodically affected communities in Northwest New Jersey and can impact residents’ ability to communicate during emergencies.
The tradition referenced by Inganamort traces back to August 27, 1776 when the New Jersey legislature held its inaugural meeting at Nassau Hall in Princeton. Returning there for a special session is intended to honor this historical milestone.
