Winter Mindfulness Walk - February

FEB 7 AT 5 AM – FEB 7 AT 6 AM

Our Winter Mindfulness Walk incorporates the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing; mindfully spending time in nature to engage the 5 senses of taste, smell, touch, sight, and hearing, which provides physical and mental benefits.

Why is winter a good time to practice mindfulness? Darker days and lack of sunlight can take a toll on our well-being. Practicing mindfulness is restorative for our emotions and boosts the immune system!

Activity details:

• Open to the recovery community (including family, friends and supporters)
• Includes $5 gift card for attendance
• Transportation assistance available
• Weekly registration is required
• Rain or shine (rainy days include indoor activities with visual support)
• NO walk on Monday, January 16
• Hosted by the Sussex County STAR (Support Team for Addiction Recovery) a program of the Center for Prevention & Counseling & Sussex County Recovery Community Center

Registration required: contact Linda@centerforprevention.org / 973-383-2497

Meet at the Center for Prevention & Counseling - Municipal Parking Lot #3, off Trinity Street, across from Provident Bank
