When we're in crisis, we respond best to help when the person helping us truly 'gets it' and knows what it feels like to be in our shoes. Becoming a Recovery Specialist for our Opioid Overdose Recovery Program is an opportunity for a person in long-term recovery from substance use to use their lived recovery experience to help others.

Recovery Specialists engage individuals reversed from an opioid overdose or hospital patients experiencing other issues related to substance use and provide non-clinical assistance and recovery supports while maintaining follow-up with the individual.
