Cost of college went up for all students at Warren County Community College

In-state tuition and fees rose 4.8 percent for 2018-19 at Warren County Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Jersey residents paid $5,280 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $390 more than the $4,890 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 11.4 percent more than residents this year, or $5,880. Their price tag grew 7.1 percent from $5,490 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New Jersey residents. And about 2 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 55 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 95 students received grants or scholarships totaling $563,219 and 28 students took out student loans totaling more than $101,145.

Including all undergraduates (3,496), 517 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.2 million, and 140 students took out $534,193 in federal student loans.
