Lieutenant Joseph D'Annibale

Last evening our community gathered to remember lives lost to addiction and substance use, to support the family and friends who grieve, and to offer the hope of recovery. It was a beautiful and touching evening. Thank you to all who attended and to special guest speakers Lieutenant Joseph D'Annibale of Newton Police Department, Father Griner, and Melissa Cecala. A very special thanks to Mike Lawlor for providing the musical backdrop, and Newton High School students Eliza Halteman, Keira Rheinheimer, and Olivia Webster for lifting their voices by singing Amazing Grace to close the ceremony, and Ryan T of Vernon for capturing the evening on camera. Thank you to Newton businesses for lighting their windows with purple lights in honor of lives lost and the beginning of Recovery Month.
